You are capable of more than you think. We’ll show you.

Thank You (read this first)

Words don’t do justice to some situations. This is one of those times. I will try my best to relay the information through this blog to help keep our amazing friends and family up to date on the events and status of Elizabeth’s journey through breast cancer. I decided to use my fitness website as the platform because I won’t be training folks for a while and didn’t want to mess with creating a new site.

In the first couple days of finding out we have had an incredible amount of people offer help. I’m sure we will have specific needs for help in the days to come, but until then here are a few generic ways you can be super helpful to us.

  • Pray. Several times already we have felt your prayers and God’s presence through you with times of a “peace that goes beyond understanding”.

  • Direct questions to me (Duncan) and not Elizabeth.

  • Elizabeth loves encouraging words, scripture, and songs. They are welcomed, just know she may not reply.

  • We have gotten suggestions for different types of things that can help treatment or alternatives to treatment. I’m open to reading things and exploring, just don’t be offended if we don’t do your suggestion.

  • This next one is a tough one because we’re going to ask for something we typically like, but don’t want at this time… sweets. One of our love languages is food, with dessert often at the top of that list. So if you are involved in getting food for us, don’t worry about a dessert. In the interest of getting everyone (Elizabeth specifically) in the best position to be healthy we are going to avoid sweets. That was hard to say… I love cookies, but drastic times…

Thank you for taking the time to invest in us and showering Elizabeth and our family with your prayers. Vibes go no where, prayers go straight to the source.

With love,

The Bones
