You are capable of more than you think. We’ll show you.
Thank you for volunteering to show love and support to us. I cannot express how much of blessing this has been during Elizabeth’s treatment. We are so blessed to know you! None of the stuff below is expected or required. Just suggestions and guidelines to help!
Elizabeth is eating vegan per recommendations to help maximize treatment and recovery status. We recognize that this is not how most people cook or know how to prepare (it is amazing how many things have cheese, milk, meat, or gluten in them). Because of this we suggest only trying to do a vegan meal if you have one you already love. If not, just shoot for the healthiest, tasty meal you know! As a family we are trying to be extra healthy to avoid catching/prolonging any household sickness.
The boys and I are still eating meat and some gluten stuff so feel free to make a meal without a vegan restriction… Elizabeth has a specific salad she eats most nights.
Other helpful things are veggie trays or fruit. We prefer organic food, not because we are high maintenance, but because avoiding any extra unknown toxins in food will help this cancer fighting time. Paleo snacks/treats are another category that works for our new lifestyle diet.
